Born and raised in Berkeley, Marissa has always been inspired by music, culture, and the arts. Her interests in hair quickly became a passion during her rebellious teenage years when kitchen cuts and colors were a big part of her life.

While studying sculpture at Pacific Northwest College of the Arts in Portland, her knowledge in color theory, shape and design grew strong. Upon returning to San Francisco to begin her professional training in hair, Marissa was able to marry her interest in the arts to her passion in hair.

Educated in Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy and Wella, she stays current through on going education learning from the best including Corinna Hernandez of Pony Studios and Redkens Tracy Cunningham.

Communication in the chair is very important to Marissa and is a big part of her work. She is comfortable with all types of hair. From color blending soft greys, beautiful sun kissed highlights to cutting thick voluptuous curls or fine sleek hair. She likes keeping a diverse clientele with continued education to grow and push herself to the next level.

Nichole Kreps has had a passion for the hairdressing industry since she began her career at the age of sixteen. She has always been referred to as innovative, with her style surrounding beauty and fashion.

In the year 2000, Nichole began an advanced apprenticeship in San Francisco where she trained with Aveda, Sassoon, and Bumble & bumble. Subsequently, she joined the creative team of stylists at Cowboys and Angels, where she became a network educator and a liaison between C&A and Bumble & bumble. In this position she frequently traveled to New York and B&b university, finding her esthetic for hair and the importance of continuing education. She’s known for her versatility and seemingly effortless ability to help clients find their own style bringing out the best in them. She has a strong appreciation for iconic glamour like Faye Dunaway, Jane Birkin, and the always sexy Brigitte Bardot. Overall Nichole’s hairdressing embodies a classic approach while having an effortless feel. She teaches as she cuts and styles so EVERY client goes home with a better understanding of how to recreate at home.

After eight years with a loyal following at Cowboys and Angels, Nichole moved to the chic Harper Paige salon where she worked for 2 years. During this time clothing designers and tutorial hair sites called on Nichole for her talents to style photo shoots outside of the salon. She grabbed the attention of an anonymous critic and was featured in Allure magazine among other countless glowing reviews. Moving to Barrow Salon she is pursuing more editorial and educational opportunities, making her clients in salon experience the best possible.

As a hairdresser Nichole has always dreamed of being a part of something unique. Partnering into THE CO.TE.RIE seemed like a natural progression in her career. She is excited to be part of a team. Following the philosophy that it is never too late to pursue your dreams, Elizabeth ditched her career in the corporate world and dove head-first into the world of hair.

She’s always had a knack for hair styling and would snip away at her friend’s locks any change she got while in college.

With a vision in tow, she quickly caught up – studying the cutting and styling techniques of Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy while undergoing an intensive color training program at Space 07 Salon under colorist Corina Perdue.

Elizabeth has a natural, low maintenance, city-chic esthetic and is influenced by masters like Johnny Ramirez, Ahn Co Tran, and Ruby Jones who’s work ranges from editorial to every-day.

In addition to giving clients a chic look, she likes to equip them with styling tips and educate them on what products will bring out the best in their hair.
One of her biggest inspirations now is the color on the heads of her girl gang at home.
